A very good place to eat with good BBQ

Been coming here for several years. Some if the nicest people in Ashville. If you are looking for the Local experience, this is the place! Esp at breakfast!! The food is FANTASTIC!

Pulling up to this small little restaurant off of Alabama road reminding me of going to my grandmother's and grandfather's house to have some amazing barbecue. I got the rib plate with baked beans and coleslaw with a sweet tea. One of the best plates of ribs I've eaten in a very very long time you didn't even need to put the sauce on it. The ribs were cooked to perfection juicy, tender and meat just melts in your mouth. The baked beans and coleslaw had some of the best flavors. Can't wait to drive by that place again to pick up some more barbecue!

I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich. Got a pork sandwich. Told them, they looked at me like I was crazy. Said I would just eat that. Was greasy. No one ever said sorry, can I make it right. Not a word. . Want be back.

Shaw's has never been a bad experience for me and have had the same owners for years. Their patty melt is amazing. Food is always hot and freshly prepared when ordered.

Wife ordered BBQ chicken sandwich but got pork. They looked surprised but never offered to make it right or apologized. Sandwiches were greasy, will never go back.

Always friendly & consistently good food.

When I got out of the car I was overwhelmed with the smell of BBQ. As I walked to the door I noticed the modest place, nothing jumping out at you and no gimmicks. I opened the front door and was welcomed with warm greetings from the staff. The whole place was filled with friendly chatter between the customers and staff. Everyone had smiles and laughed at one another. My order was taken very quickly and accurately. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to help everyone. It took a bit to get my food because they were very busy but it was worth the wait. The chicken had a good amount bbq sauce but wasn’t smothered in it. It was a sweet sauce with a tiny bit of a bite. The potatoes salad was good even though I prefer mine with a little more mustard. The cole slaw was great and fresh. I will definitely return not just for the food but for the warm friendly staff.

Best service and great food

The food & service was good. The owner came around and asked if we needed refills, asked how the food was, vefore he sat down to lunch with friends.Downside is too many booths and not enough tables.

Positive: Friendly folks running the restaurantNegative: Definitely not home made food. Tasted like frozen and pre-processed food. And just because someone puts bbq sauce onto something doesn't mean it's actually bbq. I was disappointed.

We reviewed Shaw’s last week. Shaw’s is a top notch place to eat. Good food, great atmosphere, friendly service. The bbq wasn’t exactly to my taste but it was still very good.if you are in the area go by and give Shaw’s a try you will be glad you did.

First time I had been in 20+ years. Didn't remember it being anything special. My memory wasn't right. Good, tender pork bbq - no gristle, no fat, good flavor. The beans were ok, great clean, crisp lettuce in the salad, good unsweetened tea. The parking lot was packed with pickup trucks. Lots of working men inside eating - that tells you something about a restaurant right there. They're not gonna blow their money on so-so food.I will be going back!

Absolutely delicious. Don't call the waitress her nickname. Obviously get the pork, but the chicken wings are good also.

For a tiny place in the boonies, this was good food, good prices, good service.

Came in 30 minutes before they closed and got my food to go! I was treated just as good as if they’d just opened.my meal was hot,service was great,and amazing bbq! Thanks!
